Rail Giants Unite: The ₹24,000 Crore Vande Bharat Partnership

Titagarh Rail Systems (TRSL) and Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) have finalized a long-term maintenance agreement for Vande Bharat sleeper trainsets. This agreement stems from a landmark Rs 24,000 crore contract awarded to the TRSL-BHEL consortium to manufacture, supply, and maintain the trainsets for 35 years.

To execute this, the partners have signed a Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) to establish a dedicated maintenance company, combining TRSL’s manufacturing prowess with BHEL’s engineering expertise to ensure the seamless upkeep of Indian Railways' premium sleeper services.
